Abalone necklace and earrings, Gold over Sterling Silver

3 oval drops of  Abalone, linked with 9kt yellow Gold over Sterling Silver, to create a lovely elegant drop pendant suspended from a matching chain. Stud earrings to match.

DETAILS:

The ovals of  Abalone are double sided with lovely blue, green, pink iridescent tones – like oil on water –  each one is different.  The pendant drop measures approx. 5.5cm (2 inches)  on a 45cm (18 inches) long fine chain which is 9kt Yellow Gold over Sterling Silver .

The earrings are a single oval drop of beautiful double sided Abalone on 9kt Yellow Gold over Sterling silver. The drop is approx. 1.5 cm (half inch)long. The earrings are a stud earring with matching butterfly back closure.

Other sets will be slightly different to the photograph as each gem has slightly different markings and patterns, but the design will be the same. This set will be sent in a gift box, so would make an ideal gift.

All metal in this set is 9kt Yellow Gold over .925 Sterling Silver, Nickel and lead free.

STONE:

Abalone is also known as Paua shell and is the gem of New Zealand. This natural organic gem has been used by many cultures through the ages. It has been used as masks, jewellery and decorative bowls. In Native American cultures, abalone shell is used as a smudge bowl to burn sage as it is believed that together they will carry their messages up to heaven.

In crystal healing, Abalone is said to have a calming effect. It is said to relieve anxiety and stress. It is said to help with arthritis, joint disorders and muscular problems.
