This very large nucleated, freshwater cultured Fireball Pearl makes a perfect statement pendant. The fireball pearl has an uneven shape and markings, giving it character and individuality. This Fireball baroque pearl is approx. 30mm (3cm) long. Combined with 9kt Rose Gold over Sterling Silver for an elegant, timeless piece of effortless wear jewellery. This pearl and pendant bail has a total length of approx. 50mm (5cm) long. The 50 cm (20 inch) 9kt Rose Gold over Sterling Silver chain compliments this beautiful organic gem to create a luxury jewellery accessory.

The pearl is a nucleated, freshwater cultured pearl of a large size  – it could have taken up to 10 years to grow. This fireball pearl is approx. 30mm long and approx. 18mm at its widest. It is a white pearl with a lovely lustre – hints of pink and blue. The back of the pearl has a small less lustrous area. The Rose Gold tones of the metal enhance the pink tones of the pearl.

“Fireball Pearl” refers to the shape of the pearl. It is also called “Angel Wing” Pearl.

PEARL:

Pearls are organic gems that grow inside clams and molluscs. Pearls are a birthstone for the month of June. They have long been used in jewellery and are associated with Venue – the goddess of love. They are said to protect the bride from tears on her wedding day. Pearls are said to bring happiness, wisdom and wealth. They are said to represent faith, charity and innocence.

Care of your Pearls – Pearls should be worn regularly to keep their lustre. They should be the last piece of jewellery that you put on and the first piece you take off. Please do not wear while sleeping, showering, bathing, swimming, exercising, using sauna or steam room or while working with chemicals. Please do not wear your jewellery while applying hairspray, perfume, hand cream, body lotion etc.
Some gemstones are sensitive to light and colours may fade, please avoid prolonged/intense exposure to sunlight. Please do not use chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners to clean your pearls, simply wipe clean with a soft cloth after each wear.
