Lapis Lazuli is a birthstone for September and is commonly used in jewelry. It has been prized for centuries and was even used by the ancient Egyptians for jewelry, painting, and eye shadow. Lapis Lazuli is believed to be a stone of wisdom and truth, helping to relieve insomnia and ease depression. It is linked to the Throat Chakra, encouraging self-confidence and the ability to speak one’s truth. The gold flecks in Lapis Lazuli are due to naturally occurring pyrite inclusions, which is a powerful protection stone.
