Wire and Gemstone mini Tree making experience –  one day workshop.

Have you ever looked at the beautiful gemstone trees and wondered how they are made? Come on this 1 day workshop and make your own mini gemstone tree.

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to make a mini tree using wire and a selection of gemstones. Sometimes called a Tree of Life, Bonsai or Wishing Tree, this one day workshop is suitable for beginners as full instruction will be given. Fun and learning guaranteed! Small class size for individual attention. Adult only.

The workshop will be held in St Josephs Centre, Church Rd, Leitrim Village, Co Leitrim, F45 HH51. This is an accessible venue with free car parking.

Enjoy a few hours away from the everyday. Treat it as an exercise in mindfulness or a day to explore your own creativity, making a unique wirework sculpture. This would also be a wonderful day to gift someone special or to treat yourself.

I provide a selection of wire (0.4mm) and genuine gemstones to make your tree. I also bring some small stones and you can use one to set your tree on. You can, of course, bring your own found stone or piece of wood or even a small cup, bowl etc to sit your tree on. The finished tree will be approx. 7cm tall (not including the stone etc that it is sitting on). Each mini tree is a unique handmade sculpture in wire.

All necessary tools will be available to use. Tea and coffee provided.

Workshop Details

10 am to approx 3.30 pm. All necessary tools will be available to use. Tea, coffee will be provided, lunch is not included.

I am always on the look out for interesting stones, pebbles, pieces of wood to use as a base for my mini trees and I will bring some to choose from, but please feel free to bring something that you have found on a walk, or a small cup, bowl or something interesting that you can use as a mount or base for your tree.

No previous experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and a sense of fun to enjoy your day.

Images are examples of trees I have made and are for inspiration. Each tree will be different as you will have a choice of wire and gemstones.

Gemstones

Large selection of ethically sourced genuine gemstones to choose from, including Agates, Quartz, Moonstone, Amethyst, Garnet, Emerald, Aventurine, Tourmalines etc. Gemstone chips have quite small holes, so please be sure to bring your glasses if you need them.

All necessary materials provided, use of all relevant tools included. Tea/coffee will help fuel the creativity.

This is an Adult only workshop. Please ensure that you bring glasses if you need them for close up work. You may wish to bring your own safety goggles/glasses. If you have issues working with metal, you may wish to bring your own gloves.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event that a workshop needs to be cancelled by me, a full refund will be provided.

If an individual or group are unable to attend / have to cancel a scheduled workshop and cancel 30 days prior to the workshop, a full refund will be provided.

If an individual or group cancel a scheduled workshop within 14 to 30 days prior to the workshop, a 50% fee will be applied.

For any cancellations made by an individual or group within 14 days prior to a scheduled workshop, no refund will be provided/full fee will apply.
