Learn, have fun, a laugh and  a chat while creating beautiful pieces of jewellery. A day away from your usual routine, a day of mindful creativity.

This 1 day workshop will teach you the fundamentals of wire work, from the basics of tools and materials to creating pieces that can be incorporated into your own handmade jewellery.

Our in-person workshop is designed to give you the skills and confidence to create beautiful wire work pieces. We will cover the basics of tools and materials, including the different types of wire, pliers, and other tools. We will also discuss the different techniques used in wire work, such as twisting, looping, and weaving.

In addition, our workshop will provide hands-on practice and guidance, allowing you to develop and refine your wire work skills. Our experienced instructor will demonstrate various techniques, providing step-by-step instructions and tips.

Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of wire types, including copper, silver plated, and gold plated. You will learn about the properties and characteristics of each type of wire, and how to select the right wire for your projects. Beads, wire and gemstones necessary for the projects will also be provided. Use of all relevant tools is also included.

Our 1 day in-person workshop is a space where you can exchange ideas and gain inspiration from fellow participants. This sense of community will encourage you to push the boundaries of your creativity and explore new techniques and styles.

By the end of our workshop, you will have not only acquired the technical skills needed for wire work, but also the confidence to unleash your artistic potential. This Beginners Wire Work Pendant class will be in the Rathcroghan Visitor Centre, Tulsk, Co Roscommon, on Thursday March 28th, 2024 from 10am to 3pm.

All necessary materials provided, use of all relevant tools included. Tea/coffee will help fuel the creativity.

This is an Adult only workshop. Please ensure that you bring glasses if you need them for close up work. You may wish to bring your own safety goggles/glasses. If you have issues working with metal, you may wish to bring your own gloves.

Please ensure that you give a contact phone number on your notes when purchasing a workshop so that I can contact you in the event of any changes to time, venue etc.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event that a workshop needs to be cancelled by me, a full refund will be provided.

If an individual or group are unable to attend / have to cancel a scheduled workshop and cancel 30 days prior to the workshop, a full refund will be provided.

If an individual or group cancel a scheduled workshop within 14 to 30 days prior to the workshop, a 50% fee will be applied.

For any cancellations made by an individual or group within 14 days prior to a scheduled workshop, no refund will be provided/full fee will apply.
