Green Jade pendant necklace.
Delicate, handmade pendant. Sterling Silver wire swirled around this beautiful fresh green Jadeite stone. This piece of natural ‘Type A’ Jade is almost spinach green in colour.
Jade is a term that comprises both Nephrite and Jadeite.
The Natural – ‘Type A’ green Jade – Jadeite stone is a disc shape and is approx 8mm x 2mm. The pendant is approx 30mm long and 10mm at its widest point. It is on a 45cm (18 inch) sterling silver chain. I have used Sterling Silver wire to hold the stone in place and create a pleasing shape. All metal is .925 Sterling Silver, Nickel and lead free. The back and front are slightly different so you decide which way around to wear it.
The pendant is fully hallmarked by the Irish Assay Office in Dublin Castle, Ireland.

Jadeite is part of the Jade family. It is also known as ‘The Stone of Heaven’ it was used by the Chinese Emperors for ornaments, seals etc. It is said that an Empress had a jade pillow to ensure her youthful beauty. It is said to be a stone of protection – keeping the wearer from harm. A stone of purity and calm, attracts friendship and good luck. It is also believed to aid deep dreaming. It is linked to the heart chakra.
Silver is a precious metal and is the most reflective metal. In crystal healing, Silver is said to aid balance the emotional and spiritual. It is believed to enhance the healing properties of gemstones it is set with.

This piece of jewellery has been designed and handmade by Hazelrocks Jewellery in Roscommon, Ireland, using ethically sourced genuine gemstones. I reuse, recycle and re-purpose packaging materials whenever I can. My gift boxes are locally handmade using recycled paper. The outside of the boxes are plain so that you can reuse them.
