Labradorite was said to have been the Aurora Borealis trapped in rocks until an Inuit warrior freed them with a blow from his spear. Some of the colours from the Aurora remained in the rocks giving us the wonderful play of colour that can be seen in Labradorite. This gemstone is said to be a stone of transformation and change, an aid to stimulate the imagination and calm and overactive mind.
