Wire wrapped Shungite pendant
Rough piece of black Shungite, wrapped by hand, in copper wire to create a unique pendant.
I have used bare copper wire, to create curls and swirls, to accentuate the contours of this black Shungite stone.
This chunky pendant could be your own talisman for protection. This pendant is unisex, so is suitable for women or men to wear.
Shungite is said to be the stone of this century. It is believed that Shungite can protect from electromagnetic and negative energies. It is said to purify and is used to clean and purify drinking water. It is a stone for calming and grounding, restoring mental, physical, emotional and spiritual balance. It is said to boost energy. Shungite is 98% carbon and contains traces of fullerenes. Shungite was originally discovered in Russia.
This pendant is approx 5cm (2 inches) long. The copper wrapping the piece of Shungite has been oxidised to give depth and interest to the piece.
This pendant is on a grey cord with a sliding knot, so that you can slip it over the head and use the sliding knot to wear it longer or shorter as you prefer – equivalent to a 34 inch necklace to 16 inch necklace The cord is a attached with a larks head knot so that it can be easily removed, should you wish to use a different cord or chain or even to carry the pendant in your pocket or handbag.
Copper is also said to have healing benefits and is long used to help with arthritis pain.
